Rate: $61.72 per hour plus superannuation

We are currently looking for an experienced Employment Relations Specialist with highly effective communication skills and a strong ability to foster productive relationships with internal stakeholders.

Duties, responsibilities and experience required:

  • Offers solution-focused employee relations consultancy and advice to meet the needs of managers and the Department.
  • Highly proficient in interpreting and applying key legislation, including the Industrial Relations Act, Public Sector Management Act, Collective Agreements (e.g., 2024 CSA Agreement), Public Sector Award, Occupational Health and Safety Act (WA), and Workplace Relations Act, as well as Public Sector Commission Guidelines, Instructions, and the Public Sector Code of Ethics.
  • Demonstrates specialist expertise in analysing and resolving complex employee relations issues such as workplace conflict, managing formal cases of alleged misconduct, and addressing substandard performance on behalf of the Executive Director.
