We are currently on the lookout for a Graphic Designer for a short term 6-week contract with our State Government client.

Approximate dates are 6 June 2025 to 8 August 2025. The role is based in Subiaco, and the rate is $45 to $47 per hour, plus superannuation.

Key functions of the position:

Reporting to the Manager, Brand and Campaign, the Graphic Designer supports the Marketing function with graphic design services for campaigns, projects, and other key business initiatives.

The role has the following areas of focus:

  • Artwork design, production, and re-production (digital and print).
  • Development of static, digital and animated content.
  • Short form Video editing.
  • Maintaining brand guidelines.

Key responsibilities

  • Conceptualise and develop custom artwork for use on Lotterywest owned channels using existing brand and product guidelines. This includes static digital, animated digital and print.
  • Re-produce existing artwork for use on Lotterywest owned channels and external paid media channels. This includes static digital, animated digital and print.
  • Edit raw vision/footage into consumable video content for use on Lotterywest owned channels.
  • Ensure all artwork adheres to brand guidelines and meets required accessibility standards.
  • Interpret graphic design briefs and liaise with stakeholders to determine requirements.
  • Ongoing maintenance and annual review of online style guide.
  • Maintains marketing and production archives for cross-functional use and with external suppliers.
  • Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of marketing and brand processes and procedures to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally, working with printers, publishers and web developers to achieve successful outcomes by ensuring material is delivered on time and in the required format.
  • Develop positive and effective relationships with relevant internal and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Undertakes other duties as required.

Mandatory requirements

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience using graphic design software, including Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premier Pro.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting graphic design briefs, design principles and developing design solutions for various media channels.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently deliver clear and concise messages.
  • Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks efficiently.
